A solar battery system stores electrical energy, typically from rooftop solar or other renewable sources, but it can also be charged with grid-connected electricity. The battery holds the energy, which can later be used to power home appliances and other electrical systems.
When the home uses more energy than the solar panels can produce, the energy stored in a solar-battery system is used. This battery energy can control home devices before any energy is expected to be imported from the grid.
